Department Goal:
The Family and Consumer Sciences Child Care Completer is one
of four Career and Technology Education completer programs. Students at
Patapsco High School who successfully complete Child Development I, Child
Development II, Nutrition & Foods and Decisions in Family Living will
graduate under the FACS Child Care Completer Program.
In order for students to earn the FACS Child Care Completer 90 Hour Certificate
as well as the Technology Achievement Guarantee (TAG) Certificate, they must
meet the following criteria:
- 96% or better
attendance in the senior year
- Pass all
Maryland State and BCPS required assessments
- Final grade
of “B” or better in approved Career and Technology Education Program
- Final grade
of “C” or better in other subjects (or GPA of at least 3.0)
- Positive
interpersonal skills.
